Matty Healy and Azealia Banks became embroiled in a seriously messy X fight on Tuesday evening, leaving social media users absolutely stunned.
British singer Matty was forced to backtrack after he threatened to “slap” Azealia “so hard” that he would get a Guinness World Record after she insulted his fiancée Gabbriette.
And the whole thing actually started when Azealia quote-tweeted an old clip of Charli and wrote: “Charli used to be soooo pretty. Ugh. Boaaa, I swear them weho gays be having the girls questioning themselves meanwhile they all scraping k off a cookie sheet, eating cold bossanova and sharing panties. Tuh.”
Defending his friend, Matty responded by writing: “Azealia you seem to have a blind spot when it comes to your ‘reads’. All the women you attack seem to be culturally relevant, attractive, divisive and NICE people. I think this makes you jealous cos you’re so talented but everything else about you is a failure. Just rap bro.”
He then referenced Gabbriette, who he got engaged to earlier this year, in a now-deleted tweet that read: “And on that point if I see one little shit bag twitter barista say ONE thing about my Gabi, EVER, I will use my mental illness to full affect and I will dox and fuck you up I’m so over pretending to have different standards online cos it’s ’not real’. Well, a fuckin slap is.”
Azealia quote-tweeted this and wrote: “The bitch look like Frankenstein to me. You both look like you share needles. Lmao,” which clearly enraged Matty.
“I know you think your life is some episode of the library is open but I am not the one,” he tweeted Azealia. “Talk to me like that I’m not gonna side eye you at an awards do I’ll fucking slap you so hard I’ll get a Guinness world record for the highest a rat some bitch calls a wig has ever flown.”
But Azealia was seemingly unfazed, replying: “What type of pussy ass nigga goes online and incriminates himself this way? Lmfao a man could slap the shit out of Gabi and you wouldn’t do a damn thing. You’re too busy kissing men on stage for clout.”
And Matty quickly seemed to realize that he’d gone too far, writing: “Nah I can’t be saying I’m gonna hit a girl that’s insane I’m sorry. You just can’t keep being so mean about my mates and my mrs it’s really hurtful gets me well defensive.”

However, Azealia continued to lay into the singer, sharing a close-up photo of his teeth as she wrote: “Stick up for these jibs dear, they look like white castle burger onions. It’s clear you do not floss enough, dont use the right toothpaste, should quit cigs, and you wait till after coffee to brush your teeth. Your gums look inflamed like early signs of gingivitis.”
